POKÉMON X KOGEI Playful Encounters of Pokémon and Japanese Craft

Presenting an open query to everyone from Living National Treasure artisans to newbie craftspersons: What “chemical reaction” occurs when you Pokémon meets designer craft?
Here at Nuno, we’ve worked for two years using a special Swiss “chemical lace” technique invented in1889 to create thirty different design variations based on the lovable Pikachu character, from which we selected four patterns and had them embroidered in Isezaki, Gunma. This bright yellow installation Pikachu Forest includes one different design in a distinct colour — let’s see if you can find it!
