Coming soon to Shiro Arimoto Memorial Alumni Hall, the three-person exhibition “Make a Seat, Take a Seat” brings together the talents of our own College of Design Engineering Professor of Product Design Noriko Hashida, world-renowned textile designer, Nuno Corporation Director Reiko Sudo, and popular exhibition space coordinator Masafumi Tashiro.
Taking Hashida’s “Pages Chair” as our basic form, we stack on Sudo’s Nuno cover textiles for visitors to flip through and see how distinctive textiles enhance the appeal and give the very same chair many different impressions. Try your hand at creating your own original chair— and be sure to check out Tashiro’s exciting spatial design.
