As we introduced the traditional "chemical lacework" before, Now it
is more common to use as a water-soluble base fabric such as vinylon.
NUNO adapted this chemical lacework to make its Swatchbuckle fabric. Remnants of
various NUNO fabrics are carefully cut into squares, laid out neatly to cover the
surface, and stitched down by sewing machine . Dissolving the base fabric in water
leaves a piecework of swatches over a lacy ground, a serendipitous survey of NUNO
originals of different patterns, colours and materials all in one cloth.
